Gossip Girl Star: Taylor Momsen "Is Better"

Taylor Momsen is recovering from her near-fatal throat infection.
"Oh, she's better," her Gossip Girl co-star, Kelly Rutherford, told Usmagazine.com at the H&M/Comme des Garcons party in NYC Thursday night. "She's good," added Rutherford (who plays Blake Lively's mom). "You know, she's young, and she's working very hard."
Rutherford, 39, blames the 15-year-old's recent hospitalization on the flu. "You know, all it takes is to get a flu, and then you work a lot of hours, and you have [a serious] flu," Rutherford explains of how quickly Momsen's illness grew severe. ... Read More ...

GOSSIP GIRL MOMSEN TO RETURN TO WORK

GOSSIP GIRL star TAYLOR MOMSEN will be back onset within days after winning her battle with a "life-threatening throat infection".
The 15-year-old actress was admitted to a medical facility in Los Angeles on Sunday (19Oct08), where she was treated for the unspecified condition.
Her doctor, Shawn Nasseri, tells UsWeekly.com, "She has been hospitalised for a severe, potentially life-threatening throat infection since Sunday. After aggressive antibiotics and medications, she is expected to make a full recovery in the next three to five days." The teenager was released from hospital on Wednesday (22Oct08) and is now recuperating at home, according to People.com. And Gossip Girl bosses insist she will be back at work onset in New York by the end of the week (ends26Oct08).
A statement from the show's CW network says, "Taylor Momsen is a beloved member of our Gossip Girl cast and we are happy to report she is on the road to a speedy recovery. We all look forward to her planned return to work on Friday."

 Gossip Girl starlet Taylor Momsen has been hospitalized with a severe, potentially life-threatening throat infection.
“I have been treating Miss Taylor Momsen for the last few days,” Dr. Shawn Nasseri tells Us Weekly. “She has been hospitalized for a severe, potentially life-threatening throat infection since Sunday. She has been an excellent patient, and after aggressive antibiotics and medications, she is expected to make a full recovery in the next three to five days.”
A source close to the 15-year-old actress reveals Momsen was in L.A. to take a school exam when she “woke up with a sore throat. She thought it was just a common cold, but was advised to see an ear, nose & throat specialist before getting on a plane back to New York.”

Gossip Girl is still doing way better than last season in ratings but has fallen short so remind everybody to watch it next Monday! This week dropped to 3 million, from last weeks 3.5

Taylor Momsen: "I'm Naturally Thin"

Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen - who has alarmed some fans lately with her thin frame - says she doesn't feel pressure to be skinny.
"Not at all," she told reporters Saturday at the Diesel xXx Rock & Roll Circus in Brooklyn, New York. "I mean, I'm just kind of naturally thin. My mom's really thin, and I'm tall. Good genes."
The 5' 8" actress, 15, told reporters she doesn't workout.
"I just eat healthy. I walk a lot because I live in New York," she said. "So I try to walk a lot instead of taking cabs.
"I should probably start working out or something," she added. "I dance, so I guess that's a full workout. I've been dancing since I was three, so I guess that would be it."
As for reports that her co-star Ed Westwick recently locked lips with Drew Barrymore, Momsen is staying mum. "I'll have to ask him," she coyly told reporters. "No, I have to talk to him."

Gossip Girl had an other amazing episode this week and it did great in rating too with over 3.5 million viewers! Yay! We added the CAPS HERE & here goes the plot for next week's episode with the so anticipated Serena-Blair catfight:
     
"New Haven Can Wait": Blair, Serena, Dan, Nate and Chuck go to Yale. After Blair and Serena get into a fight, Serena decides to get even with Blair, who has always dreamed of going to Yale, by going to Yale instead of going to Brown as planned and accepting the Dean of Yales private invitation to the campus. Dan discovers that none of his recommendation letters for Yale were sent, he tries to figure out a way of getting into the school. Also Chuck is kidnapped by a group of Skull and Bones members and Nate hooks up with a co-ed.
