Taylor Touring With Her New Band!

Sounds like Taylor Momsen is going to have one busy summer!
The15-year-old Gossip Girl star performed for the first time with her band the Pretty Reckless at the Annex in New York City last night when they opened for the Veronicas.
For such a tiny girl, she's got some serious pipes on her! Check out her throaty growl in the clip above. We must say, the girl can rock.
This won't be the only time you can see Taylor. In fact, she's headed out on tour...
She'll be opening for the Veronicas again on May 9 in Nashville and touring with them until June 30, when they finish in Salt Lake City. Taylor's band also scored a record deal with Interscope Records and are releasing their debut CD this fall.
A rep says this shouldn't affect her shooting schedule on Gossip Girl. Our Little J is growing up so fast!

Gossip Girl-Inspired Clothing Line Coming to Target!

Half of the fun of watching Gossip Girl is checking out all the awesome clothes. Well, clothing designer Anna Sui must love GG, too: She's doing a Target diffusion line inspired by our favorite Upper East Side gals!
Famous designer Anna Sui, whose clothes are usually in the price range of the rich GG gals, is going to do a Designer Collaboration line with Target that will make the clothes a lot more affordable. The clothes will channel the style of Serena, Blair, Little J, and Vanessa, and will be available in 250 selected Target stores in the fall.

Taylor Momsen is pretty restless at the annex

 Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen and her band The Pretty Reckless rocked out the stage at hipster hot spot the Annex in New York’s Lower East Side on Tuesday night (May 5).
Concertgoer Rachel Sklar described, “I quite liked the speed and sound of their stuff, and Momsen can sing - she belts it out with a rough scratchy punk-rock voice that had a Courtney Love/Kim Carnes/Alannah Myles/Gwen Stefani/Hedwig feel. Plus good energy and presence, especially when you remember that she’s freaking SIXTEEN.”

 Taylor Momsen grips onto her blond locks in this cool new shot from Nylon magazine.
The 15-year-old actress dished to the mag about everything Gossip Girl and her upcoming fashion line. Check it out now:
On the future of Gossip Girl: “All I can say is that everyone else is moving on - Jenny’s going to be the only one still in high school, since everyone else will be in college. Whatever they end up doing, I’m sure there’s going to be lots of drama.”
On her upcoming costume fashion line with Jen Kao: “I can’t say much about it yet, but the vibe is a little rock n’ roll, a little dirty - but not stripper dirty. I don’t want people thinking this is what I would walk down the street in.”
On the fans coming to watch Gossip Girl filming: “There are hundreds of people outside. It’s pretty intense. When we started it was really calm, but all of a sudden it got insane. All the kids ditched their classes to come out and watch, and we had principals yelling at us because we were taking their kids out of class. I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m an actress! It’s not my fault!’”

MOMSEN TO HIT THE ROAD

GOSSIP GIRL star TAYLOR MOMSEN is set to fulfil her rock'n'roll dreams by hitting the road with her band this spring (09).
The actress-turned-singer has been busy developing her sideline project - a rock group called The Reckless - and now she is ready to show fans her musical talents.
She says, "It's really exciting - we're called The Reckless. We're putting out our album this year and hopefully starting to tour around April."
And the star insists the group is one of her greatest passions: "I do write it (the songs) all 100 per cent myself. I'm the lead singer and I play guitar and I totally oversee it. It's a huge passion and totally important to me. It's really exciting and probably not what people are gonna expect. Kinda dark, a little bit heavier - but we have our lighter, fun stuff too."
